Milk And Dairy Products 

Dairy products are perfect for your body as they provide calcium and are suitable for your bones; therefore, try to take low-fat dairy products if possible. Moreover, if you don’t like to drink milk, you can take alternative dairy products such as yogurt and cheese. Protein Food 

Protein intake is also very beneficial for pregnant ladies. It is necessary to get a minimum of 60 grams of protein per day, contributing. It is approximately 20 to 25 percent of the total calorie intake. Protein intake contributes much to the tissues and organ development of a baby and mother. Similarly, it is not necessary to take protein supplements. You can also maintain your protein intake with a diet by eating meat, fish, eggs, milk, pulses, beans, nuts, etc. 

Starchy Food 

Delivering a healthy baby with no complications is a dream of every pregnant woman. Therefore eating the best food during pregnancy requires you to eat all the relevant foods that contribute positively to your health. Taking carbohydrates is also very necessary when you are expecting because it provides you and your baby with extra energy. You can get carbohydrates from starchy food because it is included in potatoes, cereals, pasta, rice, oats, grains, maize, and bread. At the same time, every pregnant woman must eat 9 to 11 servings of carbohydrates per day.

Fruits 

Fruits are also an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. Pregnant women need food rich in fiber, minerals, vitamins, and iron because these nutrients keep a body healthy. Eating raw fruits also provides you fiber, and it prevents constipation in pregnant ladies. Some fruits are good for expecting mothers, while some fruits carry risks when they are eaten during pregnancy. For instance, apple, mango, banana, orange, cherries, apricot, pomegranate, berries, watermelon, kiwi are the fruits that are considered good food for pregnancy. On the other hand, grapes, papaya, and pineapple are bad fruits during pregnancy and pose a potential risk to the fetus.

Foods To Avoid During Pregnancy 

Many foods prove to be not suitable for expectant mothers. Therefore must avoid them at all costs. For instance, Eating raw or undercooked eggs or raw meat is not good because they contain bacteria primarily. Similarly, pregnant women must limit their caffeine intake to less than 200mg per day. Alcohol is also very unsafe during pregnancy. That is why must avoid it at all costs. It is evident that fishes are a good source of protein, but expectant ladies must avoid fish with high levels of mercury. Hence it is advisable always to take the best diet during pregnancy.
