We all have been there. Crazy, hungry, and home alone with that craving for something to cook. 

You start gathering ingredients from one cabinet to another. And then you remember you don’t know how to cook. Sad life. 

But that is about to change because we have listed down 5 simple cooking recipes that you can make in the microwave and don’t need a stove.

French Toast

Eggs and bread together is a perfect combination. Did you know that you can make a french toast in a microwave? 


And believe me, they are absolutely delicious. This is one recipe that is yummier than the real thing. French toast is easy to make, fast and satisfies the craving for sweet starchy deliciousness.

French Toast Recipe using oven

  • Butter up the tray and put slices of bread on them
  • Crack an egg and spread it onto bread slices’ front and back.
  • Add 3 tablespoon milk and sprinkle cinnamon
  • Heat it for approximately 1 minute in a microwave.
  • Dip vanilla or honey as per your liking and Voila! Enjoy :)

Mug Pizza

It’s time to put your Italian chef hat on and get to work. You may have heard mug cakes, mug soups but how about mug pizza? 


Ain’t it exciting to try because it’s as easy as eating a pizza. You can add your favorite toppings and it’s a wonderful treat to serve your kids for lunch. 

All you have to make sure that mug pizza is made fresh and serve hot because it hardens when cooled.

Mug Pizza Recipe Using Oven

  • Combine 4 tbsp of plain flour, 1/8 tsp baking powder, a pinch of baking soda and 1/8 tsp of salt in a microwave safe mug, mix well using a fork.

  • Add 3 tbsp of milk and 1 tbsp of oil, mix well using a fork.
  • Spread 2 tbsp of pizza sauce evenly over it and sprinkle 2 tbsp of cheese.
  • Finally place 6 olives over it and sprinkle ½ tsp mixed herbs, ¼ tsp oregano and ¼ tsp of chili flakes evenly over it.
    Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Easy, ain't it!?

Masala Paneer

It’s time to add some desi touch to our recipes. Masala paneer is made with fresh and soft paneer which will surely become your favorite recipe beyond comparison. Order some roti from the nearby market and your dinner is sorted!


Masala Paneer Recipe Using Oven

  • Put the oil in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds.

  • Add the green chili paste, mix well and microwave on high for 30 seconds.
  • Add the tomatoes, tomato purée, chili powder, coriander seeds powder, chicken tikka masala, and salt, mix well and microwave on high for 3 minutes, stirring in between after every 1 minute.
  • Add the paneer cubes, mix well and keep aside to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Microwave the paneer mixture on high for 3 minutes, stirring twice in between. The delicious masala paneer is ready to binge on.

Gajar ka Halwa

Now you don’t have to wait for your mom to cook Gajar ka halwa. It’s one of the famous Pakistani desserts. 


Originated from Punjab, Gajar ka halwa is a winter delight and it is equally loved throughout the country. 

So here’s how you can cook Gajar ka halwa in a microwave.

Gajar Halwa Recipe Using Oven

  • In a microwave safe bowl, add ghee and add grated carrots. Microwave on high for 3 minutes
    
    

  • Now add milk and stir gently. Microwave on high for another 5-6 minutes, stirring for every two minutes.
  • Add cardamom powder and sugar. Stir again. Now microwave for another 5-6 minutes on high or until the carrots turn soft and milk is completely absorbed.
  • Take another microwave-safe bowl and add 1 tbsp. ghee and almonds. Microwave on high for one minute or until the color of the almonds slightly changes.
