THE BEST HEALTH TIPS ON EID-UL-AZHA FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY

Eating meat on Eid-ul-Azha is a bliss! This Eid festival is all about food and one can easily have an upset stomach if precaution is not followed.

Eating food is essential for Eid holidays but in addition to dieting and drinking may be some measures for your health and life.

Howmuch.pk has gathered few health tips for everyone who is going to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha, so you can enjoy this festival to the fullest.

1: EAT WISELY

We all are going to enjoy this Eid-ul-Azha but what is more important is that we should take care of our health.

Variety of meat dishes can easily derail you from your diet plan so it is essential not to over-indulge yourself and eat an adequate amount of food per meal. Make sure to take small bites and chew your food thoroughly.

2: WALK

Another essential tip is to walk after you have consumed your meal. If you happen to be in an event try to take a walk to and from the event. It is one of the best and least expensive digestive remedies you can make use of.

3: RAW VEGETABLES

During the Eid-ul-Azha gatherings, snacks and salads may be served at a table before the meal.

Always try to start your meal with the raw vegetables or salad. These vegetables help prepare the digestive juices in the mouth and stomach so they are ready to digest heavier food.

Use of garlic, ginger, and mint before the meal can also help in digestion.

4: SODA

In most of the Eid-ul-Azha gatherings, we tend to crave for beverages.

These soda drinks compromise the digestive and immune system. These famous beverages contain phosphoric acid and citric acid which deplete the calcium in your bones and decrease calcium absorption. So try to avoid these soda drinks as much as possible.

5: AVOID SUGAR

Other things that compromise your immune system include eating too much sugar, monosodium glutamate (MSG), foods with artificial colors or flavorings. Instead, use honey in tea and other suitable beverages.

6: AVOID FLAVORED SALT

Use natural dried or fresh spices and sea salt to flavor your dishes and stay away from “flavoring packets”, MSG and spices that come in small bottles at the grocery store.

7: AVOID FATTY MEAT

Try to skip the fatty part of the meat to maintain your health. The tip is that you should avoid having brain, fat, and a stomach of a goat.

If you are planning to eat the meat of Eid, then the healthy way is to take it in the boiled, charcoaled form and avoid taking it in oily/fried form as these increases calories in a day.

8: DO NOT SLEEP IMMEDIATELY

An all-time experienced health tip suggested by dieticians and doctors is to finish off the last meal 2 hours before the sleeping time.

After that, you can go for a long walk for almost 30 minutes to make sure that the food is digested within time and you can easily go to bed feeling light and healthy.
