Clean the appliance or clean at least the area around the damage before you begin to tend to the scratch actually. There are some different ways to clean the stainless steel scratches but one of the most effective and easiest methods is:

  • First take white vinegar and spray it on your appliance and then with microfiber cloth just wipe the vinegar. Dip a cloth in a little bit of mineral oil or olive oil and wipe the appliance grain to reveal a nice shine.

  • A powdered scratch removal compound also can be used to address the scratch that you have on a clean working surface. Just add few water drops to the scratch removal compound and create a paste that is roughly a consistency of toothpaste. If you want to skip this step, can purchase a pre-mixed compound.

  • As in this step continue to apply the compound until the scratch is gone.

  • After being satisfied with the results, take a fresh, barely damp microfiber cloth and gently wipe the surface to remove any compound residue.
